All life is beautiful and we need to appreciate who we are as individuals. After much thought I have decided to begin a blog in hopes that it will be of benefit to those who read it. I have read many blog entries on the internet and decided that a blog aimed at older gay men would be a nice project for not only my own self growth but hopefully to help others.
Many of us that are single go in search of love through many avenues. In this search ones look for validation of who they are. A temporary fix can be found by looking around but a more permanent one must originate from within. We have to be comfortable in our own skin and if we do not like something about our life or appearance we can take steps to improve. The committment must come from within and there has to be a hunger for it, otherwise it will be fleeting. No one can do it for you. They can inspire and help you towards your goal but you must take responsibility for your own life.
Until that responsible attitude is taken seriously you will continue to remain in the same place. Change requires action or movement.
Our life is all about experiences and what can be learned from them. What has been learned varies from individual to individual. What is it that you truly seek? Have you identified what it is you want to manifest in your life? Have you sat down and written a plan to accomplish acquiring that which you want? Why is it that you want that particular thing? Will that thing bring you more happiness?
When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see the light that you truly are? What do I mean by light you may ask? I mean you are good as you are. You are already whole but just have not realized this. Happiness is a state of mind that is created. No one can give you happiness. You have to realize this from within yourself. Lets say for example you are sitting at home at your computer going through internet sights looking for love and you feel miserable because no one seems interested. Step away from the computer, put on some music that changes your mood, take a jog or go out and mingle with the public. You may say, but I am not in the mood. Thats an excuse generated by your brain. Shut that negative recording off and do it anyway. You are not your brain. Your thoughts can be trained and new recordings can be programed for you to access. Do some good programing. Doing creates a reality. Sitting creates notta. Create your reality.
Note: This is a new project for me and I am learning as I go. I am creating out of imperfection. That's how you begin. You work with what you have and make it better. I desire to communicate through writing. My skills are very rusty and will only get better the more I do it. The same is true for everything we do in life. Practice makes perfect. Perfection is obtained one thing at a time. Example being: I can perfectly tie my shoe strings. Put on those shoes and get moving! 12-5-2012
